Five medals in five tournaments, this has been the balance of female Spanish national team this summer. The bronze of ‘major’ opened the medal in Latvia, the U20 selection took silver in Poland, sub18 remained at the top of the podium in Sweden, the U19 girls put the icing on the best summer with her and historic silver at the world championship in Thailand and the smallest of the girls under 16 were made on Sunday with a gold medal in the European Naples. Never before has the Spanish women’s basketball had come so far and with this quarry, the future seems well assured.
